This course provides Florida Educator Accomplished Practices-aligned knowledge and skills for teachers and prospective teachers to establish a substantive understanding of the components of reading as a process: comprehension, oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, and vocabulary including use and interpretation of reading assessments, scientifically-based reading strategies, and interventions. This course addresses Reading Endorsement Competencies 1 and 2 and includes a 15-hour field experience.
