Examines dominant ideas and arts in South and East Asian cultures expressed in philosophy, literature, art, architecture, and music. Focus on India, China, and Japan; covers period from earliest civilization to present. This course will afford students the ability to think critically through the mastering of subjects concerned with human culture, especially literature, history, art, music, and philosophy, and will include selections from the Western canon.
