HUM 1380 — TECHNOLOGY AND CULTURE

3 credits · 3 hours

Study of the history of technology and how technological innovation occurs within societies. The common theme is to examine how and why a society develops specific technological solutions to perceived needs, the process of creative problem solving that leads to innovation, and the social and economic forces that either allow or prevent new technology becoming established. This course does not count toward the Humanities General Education requirement nor does it count towards the Gordon Rule Writing requirement.
