Nursing
SC4 offers nursing programs including Associate Degree Nursing (Traditional and Transition) and Practical Nursing. The programs aim to prepare students to practice nursing with competence and compassion, focusing on scientific knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors. Training is delivered via classrooms, skills labs, and clinical settings. Graduates of the associate tracks are eligible for an associate in applied arts and science and the NCLEX-RN, while Practical Nursing graduates earn a certificate and are eligible for the NCLEX-PN.
Prerequisites: Apply to SC4, Apply to a specific health sciences program, Attend a mandatory group advising session, Schedule and take the mandatory admission HESI exam, Meet general standards (smell, see, touch, hear, English proficiency, computer use, mental capacity, physical ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds), Meet technical standards (Observation, Communication, Motor, Intellectual-conceptual, Behavioral-Social)
