PSYC-184 — Exceptional People

This course focuses on children who are exceptional; specifically, children who differ from the norm (either above or below) to such an extent that they require specialized services. Different types of exceptionalities will be studied, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, learning disabilities, communication disorders, and gifted children. The course covers understanding and servicing individuals, as well as managing a classroom/childcare facility using methods such as inclusion. Course
