This course provides an overview of what building sciences are required to produce an energy efficient structure. By understanding basic concepts such as "house as a system" all trades will be better able to work in concert during the production of a home. Trades will get an understanding of how each trade has a vital role in the construction of a house and how each trades work affects all other aspects of a house. The building envelope will be a main focus of the curriculum. Understanding solid building science as it relates to the building envelope will give all trades a strong understanding of what is expected of them to produce an energy efficient home
