The Site Assessor course has been designed to address training requirements for on-site sewage disposal system contractors in Prince Edward Island. The Province recently implemented a pilot ptogram to test an alternative approach to on-site sewage system approvals. Under this program the eligible contractors are able to conduct site assessments and select system design, register the system and proceed with the installation without a permit. To participate in the pilot program a person must have a valid on-site sewage system contractor's licence. Successful completion of this site assessors course is a pre-requisite for obtaining a licence and participation in the pilot program.
