A natural progression from the Systems Analysis course, students begin with an understanding of the business requirements gained from their system analysis. This is coupled with proven design methodologies and techniques to develop a solid system design model. This model should accurately represent a system that most effectively satisfies the businesses needs. Students learn about project management, Joint Application Design (JAD), how to conduct client interviews, develop process models, use Computer Assisted Software Engineering (CASE) tools, create documentation and communicate effectively with project clients and IT staff.
