The international Computer Driving License (ICDL) Canada is offering certification which is designed for any individual who wants to certify their foundational computer skills according to an international industry standard. The ICDL is a certificate that verifies and clearly defines a person's competence and computer skills, making them more desirable to businesses within Canada and around the world. The International Computer Driving license is attained upon passing seven modules which focus primarily on practical computer skills rather than theory. These seven modules are as follows: Module 1: Basic Concepts of IT Module 2: Using Computers & Managing Files Module 3: Word Processing Module 4: Spreadsheets Module 5: Database Module 6: Presentations Module 7: Information and Communications (using the Internet). Please Note: Maximum allowable time to complete the ICDL Testing Certification process (completing the 7 modules) is 3 years. Credit may be recognized by the Business unit through the PLAR process.
