BIOS-1300 — Practical and Applied Skills

This two week, full-time, intensive course will provide learners with the skills needed to work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment. Topics covered include the use and operation of basic labware and equipment, electrophoresis, analytical, chromatography, and molecular biology techniques. In addition, students will be exposed to basic data presentation, analysis, and interpretation. With various key skills taught over the course of two weeks, students will be well positioned to enter the second year of the Bioscience Technology Diploma Program, or to apply these skills in the workplace.
