PSY211W — Introduction to Psychology

Studies the scientific principles underlying behavior and mental processes by applying the major theoretical perspectives in psychology. Explores basic research methods, biopsychology, personality, learning, cognition, human development, social/cultural influences, stress and coping, perception, motivation, sexuality and gender, states of consciousness, psychological disorders and treatment. Examines the commonality of the human experience as well as the differences that make each individual unique. Credit may be earned in only one of the following: PSY 211W, PSY 211HW , or PSY 211CW .
