This course introduces students to the principles and techniques of weld quality control and nondestructive testing (NDT). Students will learn to apply visual inspection methods, liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic inspection, and destructive testing techniques including tensile, Charpy impact, and metallographic evaluation. Emphasis is placed on industry standards, codes, and hands-on application using current testing equipment. Prerequisite(s): WELD 2100, WELD 2200, WELD 2600, and TECH 1050
Prerequisites: WELD2100, WELD2200, WELD2600, TECH1050
