NURS2230 — Applied Family Bridge

This clinical course is designed to provide an opportunity for the Licensed Practical Nursing student transitioning into the Registered Nursing role to apply foundational knowledge, skills and attitudes attained in NURS 2190 and NURS 2210 . This maternal-child health nursing course is designed to develop the student nurse’s role as an entry level healthcare provider in the specialty areas of obstetric and pediatric care within the framework of family centered care. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “C” or better, in all program specific general education courses & required program courses. Concurrent: NURS 2190 , NURS 2210

Prerequisites: HLTH1160, NURS1040, NURS2070, NURS2090, NURS2100, NURS2110, NURS2190, NURS2210
