NURS1302 — Medical-Surgical II Skills Lab

This course provides Practical Nursing students with advanced, hands-on learning experiences that complement the final semester medical-surgical nursing theory course. Through instructor-led demonstrations and supervised practice, students will engage in structured performance of advanced skill interventions appropriate for the practical nurse. Students will develop mastery of technique, competency building of procedures to reinforce safe, evidence-based care interventions to prepare them for clinical rotation andtransition into entry-level practical nursing practice. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of C or better in Practical Nursing program courses.
