This course provides students with an opportunity to learn the history of the United States from the post-Civil War era into the modern context, with an emphasis on the emergence of the United States as a progressive world power. Political, economic, and social topics are studied in relationship to the course theme. Meets the Social & Behavioral Science requirement. This is an Honors course which requires additional work and academic rigor. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Honors Program
