CJUS2400 — Approaches to Ethics in Criminal Justice

During the first eight weeks, the student will be familiarized with the traditional perspectives of ethics which form the basis of our present legal and political system. In the second eight weeks, under the guidance of a second subject matter specialist, application of these ethical principles will be discussed as they relate to criminal justice. Students will be expected to develop and express their own position as well as critically evaluate opposing positions. Prerequisite(s): CJUS 1120
