ARTS2190 — Intermediate Photography: Methods and Technologies

The course focuses on extending students’ knowledge of fundamental photographic methodologies, including professional lighting techniques, basic film and silver-based darkroom processes, advanced non-destructive digital post-processing techniques, as well as deepening their knowledge of editing software. Students explore traditional photographic concepts and genres through relevant and interrelated readings, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, assignments, and individual and group critiques. Prerequisite(s): ”C” or better in ARTS 1170 or permission of instructor
