SYG2012 — Global Issues

3 credit hour(s) This course prepares students for upper-division coursework in related topic areas by providing a general introduction to the study of global-level problems and social change. Includes an overview of the major trends, theories, issues and controversies surrounding the economic, political and cultural facets of globalization. Students will be introduced to important challenges facing humankind and will explore these challenges in research projects focused on specific countries or regions. Lecture: 3 hours.
