SYG2010 — Contemporary Social Problems

3 credit hour(s) Courses must afford students an understanding of the basic social and behavioral science concepts and principles used in the analysis of behavior and past and present social, political, and economic issues. A general introduction to the sociological study of problems. Topics usually covered include: the nature of a social problem, poverty and inequality, racism, sexism, drug and alcohol abuse, crime and violence, unban problems and environmental. Lecture: 3 hours.
