4 credit hour(s) The student will gain insight into laboratory procedures and be able to recognize signs and symptoms that could indicate to physicians a need for laboratory testing. Introduction to the origin and morphology of blood cells. Normal and abnormal functions of blood cells and the functions will be demonstrated in both the laboratory and lecture, including the proper collection, testing, and significance of laboratory testing.
