4 credit hour(s) The skills include vital signs, patient care, preparation for medical examinations, procedures, treatments, surgical and sterilization procedures using surgical instruments, and administering proper techniques for electrocardiogram (EKG) testing. In addition, students will gain and apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control in the clinical office. Pharmacology comprehension will be introduced in the course as well.
