GIS2030 — Fundamentals of Remote Sensing

3 credit hour(s) This curriculum focuses on systems designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data using unmanned system sensor technology, imagery processing software, and the global positioning system (GPS). The principles and processes involved in imagery interpretation will be examined. Sensor applications will be reviewed from practical and mathematical points of view. The course is intended to provide the student with the background necessary to successfully understand and use GIS and sensor imagery technology in conjunction with unmanned systems.
