Occupational This course demonstrates the knowledge of blueprints for overhead line installations and the ability to identify and classify overhead line insulators, properly identify and discuss insulator and lightning arrestor technologies and applications, and discuss insulator and arrestor failure modes. You will demonstrate proficiencies in switch and disconnect installation, operation and maintenance; cross arm identification, application, installation and maintenance; and will demonstrate proficiencies in cross arm, insulator and arrestor installation and maintenance, basic hot stick techniques and live-line wire tying and clamping techniques.
