DEH 2702L - Community Dental Health Lab DEH 2702L - Community Dental Health Lab 1 cr. hr. This lab provides you with a broad understanding of the healthcare system, an objective view of the significant social, political, psychological, and economic forces directing the system, and prepares you to promote oral health and prevent oral disease in a community by meeting the specific dental health needs of community groups. Topics learned in lecture (e.g., epidemiology, community dental care assessment, community dental care provision, preventative counseling for groups, group oral health education, sociological concepts related to dentistry, biostatistics, terminology, dental care systems, and concepts of dental research) are all put to practical use to culminate into a major community project.
