The lab topics will acquaint you with the scope of the dental assistant profession and provide you with a perspective role on being an integral part of the dental team. All topics discussed in the companion didactic course will be demonstrated and practiced. Topics included are disease transmission and infection control, principles and techniques of instrument processing and sterilization, occupational health and safety, and chemical and waste management.
