RED 4844 - Reading Practicum Add to Catalog Portfolio RED 4844 - Reading Practicum Instruction is grounded in scientifically based reading research as a mechanism to inform instructional practice. Demonstration and evidence of the application of the knowledge and skills to improve instructional practice and student learning are course requirements. Successful completion of this course will signify completion of Competency 5. Students will spend a minimum of fifteen school-based hours in a K-12 classroom or a setting pre-approved by the Teacher Education Department.
