The course covers drugs, their uses and effects, pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations; methods and routes of drug administration; calculation of dosages; preparation and administration of non-parental, parenteral, and powdered drugs. Legal and ethical standards related to the administration and dispensing of drugs will be discussed including following the Seven Rights of Drug Administration.
