Students gain an understanding of which professionals can make a diagnosis and the collaborative roles of human service practitioners in the diagnostic process. The course includes an exploration of etiology models and equips students to assess client needs, utilize diagnostic tools like the DSM-5, and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to diverse populations.
