Lean Manufacturing involves identifying and eliminating non-value adding activities in design, production, and supply chain management. Topics covered include continuous flow, kaizen, the 5 S’s and value-stream mapping. Six Sigma is a statistical problem-solving method that concentrates on measurement methods, data collection and graphical methods of presenting findings to control and improve processes.
