PLA 1610 - Real Property Law and Transactions I PLA 1610 - Real Property Law and Transactions I (3 Credit Hours) (A.A.) This course covers introductory and intermediate real estate law topics with a specific emphasis on real property transactions in Florida. Students who complete this course will understand the fundamental concepts of real property and the law underlying real estate transfers, including the issuance of title insurance commitments policies and endorsements, and various federal and state regulations that affect real estate transactions. Students will study the concepts of ownership and estates of land; easements and licenses; real estate contracts; deeds; marketable title, searches, examination and insurance; encumbrances and adverse matters; water rights; real estate finance; mortgages; real estate closing procedures; and leases.
