RSP110 — Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology

Add to My SC4 Catalog This course focuses on the study of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology. Emphasis is placed on structure, function, and physiology of the cardiac and respiratory systems in addition to other body systems and the role each plays in the maintenance of homeostasis. Topics include cardiac and pulmonary anatomy and physiology, cardiac conduction system, alveoli, pulmonary vascular system, O2 and CO2 exchange, lung segments, and mechanisms of breathing. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Respiratory Therapy Program 4 credits = 4 lecture
