Add to My SC4 Catalog This course will survey African-American history from 1619 to 1877 and will explore such topics as the Atlantic slave trade, the origins of slavery in the U.S., comparative slavery in the Americas, slave culture, free blacks, the demise of slavery, and the reconstruction experience. The course will view American history from the perspective of the African-American experience. Prerequisite(s): None 3 credits = 3 lecture
