SYP 4730 - Sociology of Aging and Life Course SYP 4730 - Sociology of Aging and Life Course Students will learn to apply the sociological perspective to the process of aging, to the relevant social institutions which serve the elderly, and to current policies and laws impacting the aged. Specific emphasis will be placed on major life transitions, gender, racial and ethnic differences in aging, and the economic and political issues that influence aging in contemporary society.
