The health-illness continuum is covered including pathophysiological processes and medical-surgical interventions. Nursing care of patients with various disorders are discussed. Leadership and management principles include prioritizing, delegating, and managing conflict are explored. Legal and ethical considerations are also discussed as they relate to medical and surgical nursing. Clinical experiences are provided in various healthcare facilities under faculty supervision.
