ENG 2102 - Movies as Narrative ENG 2102 - Movies as Narrative The course focuses upon the relationship between verbal and visual values in narrative and explores various types of movies that reflect these values. In pursuit of further understanding of the relationship between the visual and the verbal, the course requires students to research the original texts and the filmmakers’ creative decisions. The course also introduces students to film criticism as a discipline, requiring students to investigate how the texts written about film can inform the viewer and the film itself.
