The principles underlying strategies for employing selected cells, biomaterial scaffolds, mechanical loading, and culture conditions, for the regeneration of tissues and organs in vitro and in vivo will be addressed. Laboratory techniques associated with specific applications including skin, nerve, bone, blood vessel, and soft tissue regeneration will be taught at an introductory level.
