MGF 1100 - Introduction to Mathematical Thinking MGF 1100 - Introduction to Mathematical Thinking 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: Yes This course provides foundational preparation for courses in statistical reasoning and mathematical thinking in context pathways. The content includes problem-solving approaches, sets of numbers and their properties, number sense, graph interpretation, probability, and applications. Emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding and competency with problem-solving, analytical, and numeracy skills. Note: A student who has earned credit for Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1033) or Introduction to College Mathematics (MAT 1100) does not need to take this course. A student who completes MGF 1100 is not eligible to enroll in College Algebra (MAC 1105) without meeting other Credit in this course does not count towards the Mathematics requirement of the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.
