MAE 3310 - Elementary Mathematics: Grades K-6 MAE 3310 - Elementary Mathematics: Grades K-6 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Upper-Division College Credit With a focus on problem-solving strategies, manipulative processes, inquiry-based mathematics, number theory, and systems of operations, the teacher candidates investigate the following areas of mathematics: cardinality and counting, numbers and operations in base 10, fractional operations and representations, algebraic thinking, geometry and measurements, and proportional reasoning (including statistics and probability).
