LAE 3414 - Children’s Literature LAE 3414 - Children’s Literature 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Upper-Division College Credit AA Elective: No This course introduces instructional strategies for teaching reading through the use of children’s literature. By identifying high-quality literature and infusing research-based instructional methods, the teacher candidate is able to scaffold student learning and integrate reading components within comprehensive lesson plans. In addition to class meetings, field studies in a Kindergarten to Grade 3 setting are required. This course satisfies Competency One and Two for the Florida Reading Endorsement .
