COP 2034C - Programming in Python COP 2034C - Programming in Python 3 hours Lecture, 1 hours Lab, Vocational The student uses fundamental programming concepts and systematic design techniques to write programs that computationally solve and reduce problems. No prior programming background is required to enroll in this course. Topics include structured and object-oriented programming concepts, data types (e.g., lists, tuples, dictionaries), decision and control structures, functions, and file input and output. The student develops and implements Python programs that access a database and perform data manipulation, analyses, and visualizations. At the end of the course, the student is able to use a programming language without focusing on the language specifics and is prepared to take the Certified Associate Python Programmer (PCAP) exam.
