NUR 4636C — Community Nursing

This provides the RN to BSN student with an opportunity to participate in a community practice setting. Exploration of principles (epidemiological, cultural, social, and financial) affecting health promotion and delivery of care. This allows the student to utilize nursing principles to improve health outcomes. The student develops a needs assessment for a selected community group using Health People government objectives as a framework. With a preceptor, the student completes required clinical immersion experience (CIE) hours.

Prerequisites: NUR 3065C, NUR 3119, NUR 3655, NUR 3895, NUR 4128, NUR 3826, NUR 4837, NUR 4164, NUR 4827
