This course is an introduction to the computer system for medical facilities. The student will be exposed to computer hardware, software, databases, data storage; computers specific to health information management, administrative information systems, clinical information systems and electronic health records; privacy, security and the future for computers within the healthcare system.
Prerequisites: HSC 2531, BSC 1020, ENC 1101, CGS 1100
