XPE 9018C -- Peering Into North Korea 20 Contact Hours (Offered as needed) This course reviews Pyongyang's disseminated nonsense in the context of NK's needs and aspirations. We will briefly look at the political, military and social background of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, focusing on the adventures of Dr. Leader Field Marshal Comrade General Kim Jong-un who assumed the throne before he reached 30 years of age. Terrorizing its entire population and keeping the world guessing as to what is going on inside the country is only part of the story. Sorting it out is a challenge to skilled intelligence analysts and a source of merriment and journalistic opportunism for outside media.
