XPE 7031 -- Society and the Arts 12 Contact hours (Offered as needed) This is an interactive series designed to showcase the role of the NWFSC Mattie M. Kelly Fine & Performing Arts center in the community. This six session class will visit with each of the disciplines in the Center. The sessions will include the following: A historical overview of Fine Arts and evolution of different art forms, "page to stage" on various aspects of putting on a performance, "A song in my heart" Gregorian chant to rap why different types of songs are important, and a look at music in Okaloosa and Walton counties and the strength of community support.
