XFF 3000 - Scrubs Camp 12 Contact Hours (Offered as Needed) NWF Futures Forward camp: Participants attending Scrubs Camp will be engaged in hands on learning in patient care, and upon completion will have a better understanding of how multiple healthcare professionals engage with a patient to make their lives better. Participants will learn the role and importance of each member of the health care team and will explore the critical care provided by Nurses and the role they play in positive patient outcomes; how imaging is collected through Radiography and how it is used as a key diagnostic tool for many diseases; how Medical Laboratory Technologists analyze samples and provide results for doctors to identify and treat disease; how Physical Therapist Assistants help patients regain strength and independence and improve their quality of life; the tools and equipment used in each of these healthcare fields. Our desire is for participants to expand their knowledge of the health sciences and use this experience as a catalyst for a future career in health care.
