PHT 2252 -- Orthopedic Disabilities & Treatment 2 Credit Hours (Offered Spring) This course explores the principles of orthopedic physical therapy management, with emphasis on therapeutic applications related to the healing processes of bone, cartilage, muscle, and soft tissue. Students will examine common musculoskeletal diseases and orthopedic conditions, including their associated pathologies and evidence-based treatment plans. Topics include surgical precautions, special tests and measures, gait deviations, orthotic interventions, and further application of joint mobilization techniques, soft tissue mobilization, and the use of therapeutic exercise. Corequisite(s): PHT 2252L Prerequisite(s): Must Pass PHT 1800L
