MEA 0530 -- Pharmacology for Medical Assisting 90 Clock Hours (Offered Spring) This course introduces students to fundamental pharmacological principles relevant to the medical assisting profession. Students will identify commonly prescribed medications, their therapeutic uses, side effects, and classifications. Emphasis is placed on understanding and adhering to legal and ethical standards related to medication administration and dispensing within a clinical setting under physician supervision demonstrating The Seven Rights of Drug Administration to ensure safe and accurate medication practices.
