The Practical Nurse Certificate program prepares graduates to practice as entry-level Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) upon successful completion of the NCLEX-PN exam. This full-time, cohort-style program runs from January through December and includes three consecutive semesters of nursing coursework. LPNs provide direct care for stable individuals with acute and chronic illnesses in settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community health clinics, and physicians’ offices.
Prerequisites: AH 232 Introduction to Health Systems OR AH 231 Health System Concepts, BIO 235 General Anatomy and Physiology I, BIO 236 General Anatomy and Physiology II, Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher with no grade lower than a C (74%), Anatomy and Physiology coursework completed within the last five years, Background check, Health portal requirements
