HST251 — World History II (3 credit hours)

Examines world civilization since the 17 th century. The non-western world will be the major focus. Of particular interest is the interaction between western and non-western regions; emphases include European colonization and its effects on non-European societies, and increased globalization involving conflict, trade, and technology.
