CAM130 — CAM Planning For Various Materials And Processes (1 credit hours)

Decipher a print to determine the material and manufacturing processes needed to complete the part. Develop a process plan to control how the part will be manufactured with the CNC mill and lathe. Create G-code programs that utilizes cutter compensation for challenges faced by CNC operator for the mill and lathe to successfully machine the part to print specifications. Communicate to the CNC operator/instructor the intended process, machines and tools used to manufacture a plastic, aluminum and HRS part. PREREQUISITE(S): CAM 120 Master Syllabi: Master Syllabi
